Description

Render time one hour.

Decided to start digging into the skin materials bridged over from DS. Oh dear... well... I can't say I know what I'm doing yet. But here's my first stab at correcting the pickle that DS offers up.

Also added a bit of anisotropic response to the hair.

Lighing, 1 direct diffuse and specular. 16 specular. 1 obscure light stimulated by a direct light linked into it alone. TA scatter correction and boost.

These lights sound a bit weird? It's all in the tutorials. [link]

Model Vicky Genesis Tori, V5 Bikini bottoms, all from DAZ 3D.

The skin you're using misses for me some specular + reflection. Highlights seem to shift towards yellow while I'd expect them more to be gray or even light blueish. Combined with some anisotropy that creates curved reflection near grazing angle. Here's a nice document about building skin shader [link] (it's for different renderer but anyway - good source of ideas and showing the difference of using reflection). The reason for more reflection is that without them it will appear totally flat under TA hdri lighting or for 'obscure' lights (where there are no lights casting specular).

Here are my tries with skin material: [link]
In file 7 and 7_studio on the left there's my more recent skin material (improved highlight colour and with anisotropy), on the right is the one I've done a while ago while testing fake sss (the same as in file 6).
